Executive Chef

HELIX Wine & Bites seeks an Executive Chef who is looking for a unique opportunity to shape a restaurant menu in their image that showcases their culinary skill & imagination to the Grand Forks community.

Responsibilities Include:

  • The Executive Chef will oversee the overall back of the house (BOH) operations.

  • The Executive Chef will create, perfect, and present all food menu items for the menu.

  • The Executive Chef will develop employees by providing ongoing feedback, establishing performance expectations, & by conducting performance reviews.

  • The Executive Chef will ensure that all food & restaurant supplies are properly ordered & stocked.

  • The Executive Chef will be responsible for menu pricing based off precise knowledge of food costs versus margin goals.

  • The Executive Chef will work with ownership in the construction of the annual budget, desired COGS percentages, and staffing budgets necessary to operate a smooth BOH.

  • The Executive Chef will interact/communicate with the front of the house (FOH) to ensure that the food production is meeting or exceeding the customer expectations.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited Culinary Institution.

  • Five years’ progressive experience in a leadership role in a fine dining restaurant

  • Extensive knowledge in ordering, inventory, cost management, and menu pricing.
