Line Cook

HELIX Wine & Bites seeks a dedicated & skilled Line Cook to join our kitchen team. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking menu items, & ensuring each menu item meets our high standards. The Line Cook will collaborate with the other kitchen staff to provide a high quality dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Setting up & stocking kitchen stations.

  • Preparing menu ingredients.

  • Working the various kitchen station (fire line, pantry, dish pit, or kitchen runner).

  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen.

  • Complying with food sanitation & safety requirements.

  • Other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications/Pay:

  • Proven professional cooking experience.

  • An understanding of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, & procedures.

  • Accuracy & speed in task execution are needed.

  • Familiarity with industry best practices is preferred.

  • Physical stamina & ability to work long hours, including nights, weekends, & holidays is required.

  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently & stand for extended periods is needed.

  • Excellent communication & organizational skills are a must.

  • The ability to work as a team member is required.

  • The ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment is also required.

  • $15-$20 per hour DOE.

  • 25-30 hours per week, with the opportunity of full-time in the future.

Dishwasher/Kitchen Runner

HELIX Wine & Bites seeks an individual to fill the role of Dishwasher/Kitchen Runner. This position is a part of the back of the house staff, ensuring the smooth operation of our dinner service.

​

Responsibilities Include:

  • Wash & put away kitchen dishes before, during & after dinner service.

  • Assist line & pantry chef by gathering menu supplies as needed.

  • Assist with prep & portion duties during dinner service.

  • Other duties as needed or assigned.

Qualifications/Pay:

  • Be an upbeat & positive person that enjoys interacting with the kitchen staff.

  • Enjoy being a part of a team ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen.

  • $13-$18 per hour DOE.

  • Part-time position 20-25 hours per week.

  • Apply in person Tuesday - Saturday after 4:30pm
